Revised impression of FE1, in which in the entire Op. 25 a few most striking mistakes were corrected, e.g., in this Etude, the mistake in bar 92 was partially corrected. Same as in the case of the majority of the changes introduced in FE2, the correction can be ascribed to the editorial revision (cf. the Etude in A
major, No. 1).

In Dec. 1842, after purchasing the rights to the Etudes by Henry Lemoine's publishing house, FE2 was provided with a new cover and the plate number was changed to 2776. HL. No changes were introduced to the score, printed from Schlesinger's original plates. All three pupils' copies presented in mUltimate Chopin can serve as examples of FE3.
