b. 322-323

composition: Op. 44, Polonaise in F♯ minor

..

The sources differ in the range of the last R.H. phrase mark – in GE it reaches c1 in b. 323, in FE (→EE) – c1 on the 3rd beat of b. 322. Actually, the difference is insignificant, hence in the main text we follow the version of the principal source, FE.

b. 323-324

composition: Op. 44, Polonaise in F♯ minor

c1 tied in GE

c1 repeated in FE (→EE)

Our variant suggestion

..

The missing tie in FE (→EE) is probably an oversight of the engraver, although a deletion/omission of the slur in the Stichvorlage to FE cannot be ruled out. Therefore, it is difficult to safely say which version Chopin deemed final.

b. 325-326

composition: Op. 44, Polonaise in F♯ minor

No slurs in GE1

2 slurs in FE (→EE) & GE2

..

The absence of slurs in GE1 must be the engraver's oversight (four similar slurs in b. 323-325 are present in GE1). The mistake was corrected in GE2.
