EE2 introduced small amendments to the text of EE1 i.a. on the basis of a comparison with GE1 – see Prelude in C no. 1.
In the Prelude in A two oversights of EE1 were corrected – pedal markings in b. 5-6 and a tie to a1 in b. 15-16 were added. In addition, an erroneous version of the 3rd L.H. crotchet in b. 15 was introduced (after GE1).
The copy presented in mUltimate Chopin dates from around 1870, as indicated by the content of its title page*.
