First French edition based on A, in which the whole cycle of Preludes was divided in two books, 12 pieces each. Chopin did not participate in its preparation – proofreading of FE1, which included supplemented accidentals and pedalling, was conducted by Julian Fontana. In this Prelude wrong time signature was provided – 
instead of 
; however, L.H. slurs were rightly added in b. 13-14, and accidentals (overlooked in A) were supplemented in b. 15 and 17.
