EE2 introduced small amendments to the text of EE1 i.a. on the basis of a comparison with GE1:
- the mistakes in b. 20 and 22, indicated in the description of EE1, were corrected;
- the following were added: another cautionary in b. 33, the last missing in b. 44, 3 further cautionary accidentals in b. 52 and a in b. 54 as well as a lowering g1 to g1 in b. 78;
- the 2nd grace note in b. 43 was changed from c2 to c2.
Among the changes being more or less obvious corrections of the version of EE1, it is the addition of ties to b1 in b. 44-45 and to c2 in b. 48-49 that is noteworthy – the ties are present only in FCI, which was not used in the publishing process of the Prelude.
The copy presented in mUltimate Chopin dates from around 1868 – see Prelude in D, no. 15.
