GE2 corrected – in the entire Op. 28 – many errors of GE1, but also introduced a number of arbitrary revisions. Among the corrections introduced into this Prelude, one can mention:
- change of erroneous f2 to g2 in b. 5,
- adding accidentals where the reviser of GE1 did not notice the lack thereof, e.g. in b. 13, 26 (correction partially erroneous!).
Other changes include:
before g2 in b. 5 and Some mistakes, even manifest, remained uncorrected, e.g. the wrong notes in b. 21 and 26.
