b. 395-399
|
composition: Op. 31, Scherzo in B♭ minor
..
In the main text we give the ending of the phrase mark after A (→FC→GE1). The version of FE is erroneous and inaccurate (the phrase mark in b. 395 suggests continuation, yet in b. 396 there is no ending in a new line), which was revised in EE in the easiest way possible. The long phrase mark of GE2 (→GE3) is – just like in b. 295-297 – a result of a unifying revision. category imprint: Graphic ambiguousness; Differences between sources issues: Errors in FE , GE revisions , Uncertain slur continuation |

The dotted g minim is the original version, left in A (→FC) most probably by inadvertence. The version of FE is probably a mistake, while of GE and EE – revisions. category imprint: Differences between sources; Editorial revisions issues: EE revisions , Errors in FE , GE revisions , Omitted correction of an analogous place |

In all editions except for GE2 the whole-bar rest was specified with the digit 1, one (FE and GE3) or both GE1 and EE). category imprint: Differences between sources issues: EE revisions , GE revisions , FE revisions |

Notation in normal font notes is a result of a misunderstanding of A by the engraver of FE (→EE). category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Errors in FE |

The missing staccato dot is an oversight of the engravers of FE and GE. It was only GE3 that noticed the mark in FC. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Errors in FE , Errors in GE , GE revisions |
