b. 365

composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt III

 in FE (→EE)

No sign in GE

 suggested by the editors

..

The range of the  hairpin in FE (→EE) is questionable – it is disproportionately short to the descending part of the passage, which lasts the entire bar. A possible reason for that inaccuracy could be lack of space under the low-placed beam of the 3rd triplet in [A]. In the main text, we suggest a mark modelled after the more carefully marked passage in bars 356-357. The absence of the mark in GE is most probably attributable to an oversight.

b. 366-367

composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt III

..

In FE, these bars are written very inaccurately in terms of the accidentals in the passage in the R.H. – they are missing before the 6th, 11th and 12th semiquavers in bar 366, while in bar 367, they are present only before the 1st and 2nd notes. In GE and EE, all necessary accidentals were added; however, those in the 2nd triplet in bar 367 were added only in EE and GE3.

Fingering written into FEH

No fingering in FE (→GE)

Fontana's fingering in EE

..

Fontana's fingering, indicated only next to the notes written on the bottom stave, defines a scheme for the entire passage. In FEH, the same fingering was marked also in the 2nd half of the bar.

c in FE (→GE)

e in EE

..

The version of EE is erroneous – cf. analogous bar 359; the mistake was probably caused by the similarity of subsequent triplets. In FEH, an annotation in the form of 'ut,' i.e. c, was written next to that note, which can be interpreted as a note that it is not an e.

FE is missing an accidental before the last semiquaver of the bar. The patent inaccuracy was corrected in GE (EE contains an erroneous note, i.e. e – see the adjacent note).
