composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt I

We consider the omitted accent under the beginning of the characteristic motif, imitated in the parts of French horns, bassoons and clarinets, to be Chopin's inadvertence. The mark is present in analogous bar 116, whereas in the part of bassoons, both bars are marked in the same way. The accent was added in EE, probably on the basis of comparison with bar 116. category imprint: Differences between sources; Editorial revisions issues: EE revisions |

We give the long accents in bars 105, 107 and 117 after Atut. In the editions, they were reproduced as short ones, whereas in GE, the mark in bar 105 was overlooked. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Long accents , Inaccuracies in FE , Errors in GE |

b. 111

composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt I
..
In Atut, the first third in this bar is provided with two staccato marks – a dot under the notes and a wedge over them. Chopin perhaps put the second mark sometime after the first one, which he did not notice when reviewing the manuscript. However, it is uncertain which of the marks was "first." In the main text, we decided to put the wedge, more frequently used by Chopin in that period of his life in similar situations. In FE (→EE), there is a dot, which was probably overlooked in GE. category imprint: Interpretations within context; Differences between sources issues: Errors in GE , GE revisions , Wedges |
