Missing pedalling indications in bar 528 (as well as in 529) in GE may mean that Chopin added them only just in the last proofreading of FE. In spite of that, the pedalling of FE (→EE) raises doubts – in all three analogous places (bars 155-157, 171-173 and 510-512), pedal depressed at the beginning of the theme is held incessantly to the closest harmonic change.
