b. 40-44

composition: Op. 27 No 2, Nocturne in D♭ major

cresc. in A in bars  40-44

GE bars 40-42

FE bars 41-44

EE bars 41-44

..

In A cresc. begins in bar 40 and reaches the end of bar 44. In GE the dashes are missing from bars 43-44, which is certainly a mistake, as Chopin reintroduced them in the proofing of FE (→EE). Moreover, in the same proofing he moved the beginning of the cresc. to bar 41. In EE the indication is written out in full, broken into syllables in bars 41-43.

b. 40

In A (→GE1) there is no  raising e flat2 to e2. Chopin's omission was corrected in FE (→EE) and GE2.

b. 40

composition: Op. 27 No 2, Nocturne in D♭ major

..

Missing in A (→GE1FE) are the  raising d flat to d sharp and G flat1 to G sharp1. In EE the first one is still missing and the second one is supplemented. GE2 has both sharps.

A dot in A (→GE)

Absence of any sign in FE (→EE)

..

A dot over the last quaver, entered in A (→GE), is barely visible in FE and looks like a trace of removal of a dot once printed there. The sign is absent altogether from EE . It seems improbable that the version with a dot just over the first of the two quavers could correspond to Chopin's intentions  – cf. similar motifs in bars 17, 37 and 41.
