b. 31

composition: Op. 27 No 2, Nocturne in D♭ major

No slur in A (→GEFE)

A slur added in EE

The editors' suggestion

The omission of a slur in A (→GEFE) is, in our opinion, the result of Chopin's notation being slightly lacking in perfection at this point; therefore we supplement that sign. The reviewer of EE apparently reached the same conclusion, repeating here the slur from analogous bar 7.

A probable interpretation of the slur from A

A different interpretation of the slur from A (→GEFEEE)

b. 31

composition: Op. 27 No 2, Nocturne in D♭ major

 in A (→GE2)

No hairpins in GE1 (→FEEE)

..

The dynamic sign written in  A was most probably overlooked in GE1 (→FEEE), which was corrected in GE2.
