b. 43-44

composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt II

..

Cautionary flats before the B and b notes were added in a proofreading of FE (→EE) in both bars. However, in bar 43 the signs were put (certainly erroneous) only before the 8th demisemiquaver of the roulade.

b. 43

composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt II

..

In the main text we add markings of the irregular rhythmic group, omitted in the majority of the sources, most probably by inadvertence: the vast majority of this kind of groups was marked by Chopin in accordance with the rhythmic orthography requirements. Relevant digits were added only in GE2.

b. 43-44

composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt II

..

In FE, at the beginning of the line there is an erroneously placed treble clef (with a relevant set of key signatures). The patent mistake was corrected in EE.

b. 43

composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt II

Octave A1-A in A (→GE) & EE

Sixth C-A in FE

..

FE has a C (with a ) as the bottom note of the semiquaver. It is either a revised Terzverschreibung error or a mistake resulting from similarity of the orchestral motifs in this and the previous bar (in GE1, being the base text to FE, both bars are printed next to each other, in one line). EE did not repeat this mistake (cf. the note on the clef).

Crotchet d1-g1 with  in A (→GE)

No crotchet in FE (→EE)

Crotchet without  suggested by the editors

..

No d1-gfourth on the 4th beat of the bar is most probably a mistake (the dyad was either overlooked or left out due to an erroneous placement); in GE1 it was placed in such a way that on the upper stave the bar seems to have five crotchets.
In the main text we adhere to the notation of A, omitting only the unnecessary in this context cautionary  before g1.
