Omission of the b note in the penultimate chord is probably a result of an inaccurate interpretation of A, in which the note may be considered to be written by mistake. A comparison with analogous bar 32 shows that in both places Chopin meant the a-b-f1 chord. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Errors in GE |

Similarly as in analogous bar 33, we assume that the Chopin correction in A in bar 14 was probably to be valid also at the repetitions of this bar. In the discussed bar – differently than in bar 33 – such an addition was introduced also in EE, most probably by analogy with bar 14. category imprint: Differences between sources; Editorial revisions issues: EE revisions |

It is uncertain whether the tie of the minim in GE1 (→FE→EE) was overlooked or removed by Chopin. According to us, the first possibility is more likely; however, in the main text we suggest a variant solution. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: GE revisions , Authentic corrections of GE |

The missing sign in A must be considered an inaccuracy of notation. In the main text, we add the sign after analogous bar 14. The absence of indications in GE1 (→FE) is certainly a mistake, revised in EE and GE2. category imprint: Differences between sources; Editorial revisions issues: EE revisions , Errors in GE , No pedal release mark |

Out of two slurs written in A, in GE (→FE→EE) the bottom was chosen, embracing only the group of small quavers. The choice, compliant with the general approach of the engraver of GE1, is, however, unfortunate, since the bottom slur is only a part of the marking of an irregular group in this context. In the main text we leave the top slur, performing an articulation and phrasing function – Cf.
