The range of the slurs in the L.H. in A is unclear; in the main text we give the most likely interpretation. The slurring of GE1 (→FE→EE) is probably a combination of the initial inaccuracy of the engraver of GE1 and the later, perhaps authentic, proofreading of this edition. The first octave in the L.H. in A is a quaver, so that the bar includes only 7 quavers. The staccato dots, written in A over the initial chords in bars 24-25, suggest a possible oversight of the sign in analogous bar 23. GE2 included only the dot in bar 24, probably due to the clear staccato sign over the octave in the L.H. The missing staccato sign is certainly a result of inaccuracy of the engraver of GE1.
