Issues : Errors of GC
b. 12

composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt II
..
No in GC (→GE) is almost certainly an oversight of the copyist, who overlooked all signs between the staves in bars 7-13. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Errors of GC |

b. 32-33

composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt II
..
The absence of in GC (→GE) is probably an oversight of the copyist. It is also possible that Chopin added it in [A] already after having prepared the copy. In FE (→EE) the sign is only at the beginning of bar 33, which, according to us, follows from the necessity of choosing place for the sign written in [A] (partially) on the bar line. It is confirmed by placing the in the respective bar of the recapitulation (bar 220). category imprint: Interpretations within context; Differences between sources issues: Inaccuracies in FE , Errors of GC |

b. 40-41
|
composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt II
..
The absence of accidentals on the 2nd and 3rd beat of bar 40 and 2nd beat of bar 41 in GC and FE1 (→FE2→EE1) is almost certainly Chopin's mistake. It is confirmed by naturals raising g1 to g1 in bar 40 and g to g in bar 41, added in the most probably authentic proofreading of FE3 (completed with the last missing in FE4). Similarly in bars 228-229. category imprint: Interpretations within context; Differences between sources issues: EE revisions , Errors in FE , Errors in EE , GE revisions , Authentic corrections of FE , FE revisions , Errors of GC |

b. 54

composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt II

In the main text, we include the added in the proofreading of FE3 (→FE4) – most probably by Chopin – sharps raising the f1-f2 grace note to f1-f2. According to us, it was probably a correction of a mistake. b. 57

composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt II

The chord with c2, although completely possible from the harmonic point of view, is, however, most probably a result of Chopin's mistake, as the d-f-a-c (a-c-e-g) diminished four-note-chord introduces the B minor key, which Chopin indicated with an enharmonic change in the previous bar. In this context, an omission of a is highly likely – cf. the note in bar 56. The natural added – probably by Chopin – in FE3 (→FE4) is, therefore, probably a correction of a mistake. category imprint: Interpretations within context; Differences between sources; Corrections & alterations issues: EE revisions , Errors in FE , GE revisions , Omission of current key accidentals , Authentic corrections of FE , Last key signature sign , Errors of GC |
