b. 30

b. 31-32

composition: Op. 26 No 1, Polonaise in C♯ minor

Slur in A (contextual interpretation) & GE2 (→GE3GE4GE5)

Slur in FE (→GE1,EE)

..

In FE (→GE1,EE) the slur ends on the last note in bar 31. In similar bars 5-7, the slur is led to the 1st note of bar 7, which ends the phrase. A possible reason of the slur's shortening in the editions is the inaccuracy of notation of A, in which Chopin ended the slur just before the bar line between bars 31 and 32.

b. 32

composition: Op. 26 No 1, Polonaise in C♯ minor

Slur from 2nd beat in A (→FEGE1,EE)

Slur from first beat in GE2 (→GE3GE4GE5)

..

Same as in bar 7, in GE2 (→GE3GE4GE5) the beginning of the slur was arbitrarily moved over the 1st note of the bar.

b. 32

composition: Op. 26 No 1, Polonaise in C♯ minor

Staccato dot in A & GE

No mark in FE (→EE)

..

Same as in bar 7, the absence of the staccato dot in FE may be a result of Chopin's proofreading. The presence of the dot in GE seems to be a revision (inaccuracy?) of the engraver.

b. 32

composition: Op. 26 No 1, Polonaise in C♯ minor

Quaver in A (→FEGE1,EE)

Crotchet in GE2 (→GE3GE4GE5)

..

In analogous bar 7, in the proofreading of FE1 Chopin added a crotchet stem for g in the L.H. The absence of a similar correction in bar 32 is to be considered to be Chopin's oversight. The crotchet in GE2 (→GE3GE4GE5) is most probably a result of a revision and comparison with analogous bar 7.
