The f1 quaver written in A was changed to a1 in a proofreading of FE (→GE,EE). According to us, there is no doubt that the proofreading was performed by Chopin, who also corrected a mistake on the last quaver in the R.H. and added the pedalling in the same bar. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Authentic corrections of FE |

Despite the fact that the a2-a3 octave is possible as far as the sound is concerned (cf. the Prelude in F minor, Op. 28 No. 8, bars 6 and 20), Chopin's mistake seems to be almost certain here, even due to the pianistic issues. The conclusion is confirmed by Chopin's proofreading performed in this place in FE (→GE,EE). category imprint: Interpretations within context; Differences between sources issues: Terzverschreibung error , Errors in the number of ledger lines , Errors of A , Authentic corrections of FE |

In A (→FE) there is no raising d2 to d2 on the 5th quaver and the lowering g1 to g1 on the 11th quaver. These patent errors were corrected in GE and EE. category imprint: Interpretations within context; Differences between sources issues: EE revisions , Accidentals in different octaves , GE revisions , Omission of current key accidentals , Errors of A |

Different arrangement of the accents in FE (→GE,EE) is most probably a result of Chopin's intervention, although it is uncertain whether the composer moved the more or less accurately reproduced accents of A or only added – in another place – the marks omitted by the engraver. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Long accents , Authentic corrections of FE |
