Title: | Douze Grandes Etudes || No. 6 |
Dedication: | SON AMI F. LISZT |
Second German edition in which the text of FE1 was subject to a quite detailed review:
- a few additions were made: slur in the L.H. in bar 1, a dot extending G in bar 20 and e1 in bar 45, a returning a in bar 35, ties sustaining E in bars 51-53;
- a rest was added in bars 22 and 38;
- a number of cautionary accidentals was added – a before a in bar 2 and 10, d in bar 12, d2 in bar 30, e2 in bar 31, d1 in bar 36, ;
- the slur in the L.H. in bar 50 was shortened.
Some of the introduced revisions are clearly erroneous, e.g., the change of c1 to c1 in bar 50. In GE2 there are also such ordinary mistakes as the overlooked slur in the R.H. in bars 35-36.
