b. 497

composition: Op. 39, Scherzo in C♯ minor

b. 497

composition: Op. 39, Scherzo in C♯ minor

..

In GC and FE1 there is no  lowering gto g2. This obvious mistake was corrected in GE and FE2. The accidental present in EE seems to be an editorial revision.

GC (→GE)

..

Out of the three offerred placements of the  mark by the sources, for the main text we adopt the EE version, consistent with the variant of pedalling most often appearing in the corresponding parts, e.g. in bars 207, 215 and 223.

composition: Op. 39, Scherzo in C♯ minor

In EE both minims share a stem, which must have resulted from misinterpretation of the basis manuscript.

b. 505-509

composition: Op. 39, Scherzo in C♯ minor

..

Disregarding the first chord, in EE there is no  lowering all d to in different octaves. This was the exact copyist's notation of GC, however Chopin added five out of thirteen nevessary accidentals. The notation of FE and GE is completely correct.
