The  marks in bars 37, 39, 45, 47 and 49 are written in A (and GE3) between the 2nd and the 3rd crotchet of the bar. In GE1 (→FE→EE, →GE2) they were placed under the 3rd crotchet.

The  mark, placed in A at the end of the bar, appears under the 3rd crotchet in GE (→FE). In EE it is moved slightly to the right from the 3rd crotchet, which only accidentally resembles the notation of A.

In GE1 (→FE→EE) there is no pedalling, which is obviously a mistake. The pedal marks were supplemented in GE2 (→GE3), with  moved to the end of the bar.

A has got one pedal mark for two bars. In GE1 an additional  appears in bar 62, which must have resulted from the unnecessary application of Chopin's indication to repeat the bar to the pedal mark as well. That incomplete notation was supplemented in FE (→EE) by adding  in bar 61. In GE2 (→GE3) the faulty mark from the beginning of bar 62 was removed.

No asterisk in GE1

 in FE (→EE)

In A, the asterisk  is written at the end of the bar, after the 3rd crotchet of the left hand. The mark was omitted in GE1, and in FE (→EE) placed under the 3rd crotchet. In this case it is hard to tell whether it was Chopin's correction or the editor's revision – the mark was put  where most asterisks  were placed in those editions. Cf.
