The asterisk , entered in A under the 3rd crotchet of the L.H. was placed after that crotchet in GE1 (→FE, GE2). In EE and GE3 the asterisk is placed more or less in accordance with A. The absence of an accent in A (→GE1→FE→EE) seems to be the result of Chopin's oversight; this finds confirmation in the fact that accents are present in the corresponding bars of the other repetitions of that phrase, as well as in analogous bars 100 and 104.
