AK - Autograph Krudner
Date: | 8 XII 1842 |
Title: | (Valse) |
Dedication: | Marie de Krudner |
Autograph written to the album of Marie de Krudner. The dedication, dating and the composer's signature were placed in the top right-hand side corner: á Mademoiselle Marie de Krudner, Paris le 8 Decem. 1842. FChopin (the date is sometimes misinterpreted as 8 Juin 1841/1842).
Neat manuscript, devoid of corrections and crossings-out. At the very beginning, there is an abbreviated tempo marking: Allto (=Allegretto), like in AO. The range of the phrase marks was written inaccurately on a few occasions (e.g. a short phrase mark in bar 38). As far as the note text is concerned, it is most similar to the autograph given to Ms. Oury (AO), which is somehow confirmed by the time span between the dates of their dedications, which was merely two days.
