b. 33-35

composition: (Op. 4), Sonata in C minor, Mvt II

Slurs from  to B1 in A, literal reading

Slurs from E to B1 suggested by the editors

Slurs from E to C in GE (→FE,EE,IE)

..

The starting point of the L.H. slurs in bar 33 and 35 in A can give rise to doubts – they actually begin on the 2nd beat. However, it is contrary to the slurs of the analogous motifs in bars 1-4, hence in the main text we consider the beginnings of these slurs to be inaccurate (incidentally, in bar 33 the slur may suggest an earlier starting point; see also the note on inaccurate slurs in mov. I, bars 17-20). The GE slurs (→FE,EE,IE), completely arbitrary, refer to the R.H. slurs at the beginning of the Minuet.

b. 33

composition: (Op. 4), Sonata in C minor, Mvt II

No fingering in A (→GEFE,IE)

Fingering in EE

..

In the main text, we do not include the inauthentic L.H. fingering added by EE.

b. 34-36

composition: (Op. 4), Sonata in C minor, Mvt II

Slur in bar 34 in A

Longer slurs in b. 34 & 36 in GE (→FE,EE,IE)

Slurs in b. 34 & 36 suggested by editors

..

In A there is only one slur in the R.H. part, encompassing 2 quavers in bar 34. Taking into account the more careful L.H. markings (slurs in bar 33 and 35), in the main text we add an analogous slur in bar 36. A similar addition was also introduced by GE (→FE,EE,IE), yet both in bar 34 and 36 the slur starts from the 1st crotchet in the bar (as the L.H. slurs in bar 33 and 35 do).

b. 34-36

composition: (Op. 4), Sonata in C minor, Mvt II

No marks in A (→GEEE,IE)

Staccato dots in FE

..

The staccato dots added in FE on the 3rd beat of each of these bars – in bar 34 and 36 in the R.H., in bar 35 in the L.H. – are an arbitrary addition, without their counterparts in analogous bars 1-4 (the R.H. dots could have been repeated after a similar motif in bar 12).

b. 37-48

composition: (Op. 4), Sonata in C minor, Mvt II

..

In the sources the notation of the main part of the Minuet ends in bar 37, followed by a referral to bars 6-16 – Dal Segno al Fine. We reproduce this abbreviation only in the graphic transcription (the version "transcript").
In FE the verbal indication is missing – the edition limited itself to inserting a double bar line with a  mark.
