GE1 is based on FC and was not corrected by Chopin. In this edition, accidentals, mainly cautionary, were quite carefully revised, e.g. in bars 35-61 or 123. The reviser entered some of them already into FC, e.g. in bar 4 or 7, 13 and 15. Other changes include:
- addition of a rest specifying the vaguely recorded rhythm in bar 31,
- correction of a rhythmic mistake committed by Fontana in bar 48,
- addition – on the basis of analogous places – of the overlooked slur in bar 57,
- addition of an arpeggio (overlooked by Fontana) in bar 114,
- addition of a mordent (overlooked by FC) in bar 127.
In GE1 mistakes were also committed, e.g.:
Moreover, GE1 does not contain c1 notes in the chords in bars 127-129, which is almost certainly a mistake, caused by inaccurate or erroneous notation of FC.
There are copies of GE1 differing in the price on the cover (25 Ngr instead of 20 Gr).
