FE1 was based on the lost autograph [A] and was corrected by Chopin. Possible corrections in this Mazurka include, e.g. addition of dynamic hairpins in bars 9-10, pedalling in bars 31-39 or slentando in bar 75.
FE1 contains a few mistakes, some probably repeated after [A], e.g.:
- overlooked accidentals – the flats to c
and c1 in bar 36, the 
to d1 in bar 38; - probably erroneous pedalling in bar 38;
- erroneous R.H. rhythm in bar 59.
