EE and FE are lacking the staccato indication over d2 in bar 41. In this context (inside the slur), the dot may imply a temporary suspension of the legato articulation, while maintaining the continuity of thinking in a longer phrase. category imprint: Differences between sources |

The range of the diminuendo hairpins is slightly varied. A has the hairpins beginning on the 2nd beat of the bar, similarly as in FE. In GE the hairpins begin just after the minim and end before the last value of the bar. In EE the hairpins are led to the last note. We adopt the concordant notation of A and FE. category imprint: Graphic ambiguousness; Differences between sources issues: Scope of dynamic hairpins |

In GE2 the slur was divided between bars 42-43, contrary to the unambiguous notation of A and the remaining editions. There are visible actions taken to perform this correction in print, which may be surprising, as the edition did not use the printing material of GE1 and the changes could be introduced in the base text, before printing. Perhaps there is still an earlier impression of GE2. category imprint: Differences between sources; Corrections & alterations issues: GE revisions |

The slurs in A at the transition to the new great stave are ambiguously annotated. There is a possibility of interpreting them as two separate slurs or one slur. All editions have one long slur. category imprint: Graphic ambiguousness |

The slur on small notes in A is also included in GE. The lack of sign in FE and EE may result from the notation of the base text or it is possibly an oversight of the engraver. category imprint: Differences between sources |
