b. 376

composition: (Op. 4), Sonata in C minor, Mvt IV

No fingering in A (→GEFE,IE)

Fingering in EE

..

In the main text, we do not include the inauthentic fingering added by EE.

b. 377

composition: Op. 39, Scherzo in C♯ minor

Short accent in EE

Long accent in GC & FE

No mark in GE

..

The short accent in EE, given the lack of a note to be accented, must an inaccuracy of notation as there is a long accent here in both GC and FE. Lack of accent in GE must be an element of revision based on an assumption that in GC the tie on g was omitted.

b. 377-378

composition: Op. 39, Scherzo in C♯ minor

Beginning of the slur in EE & GC (→GE)

Our suggestion

..

Given the apparently inaccurate notation of sources we suggest a slur based on a corresponding phrasing in bars 117-118.

b. 377-378

composition: Op. 16, Rondo in E♭ major

Hairpin in FE (→GE)

Longer hairpin in EE

..

Extending the range of the hairpin almost throughout the two bars is an arbitrary revision of EE.
