One pedal added by Chopin in these bars in FC (→GE1) is most probably a mistake of the composer. Chopin, being in haste, could have been influenced by previous six bars, in which two-bar pedalling complies with the harmonic content of the L.H. figurations. Therefore, in the main text we suggest two one-bar pedals marked by Chopin in analogous b. 103-104 both in FC (→GE) and FE (→EE). Such a pedalling was also introduced in GE2 (→GE3).
