b. 285

composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt I

2 long accents in A

Short accent in GE1 & EE1

No marks in FE

2 short accents in GE2 & EE2 (→EE3)

..

In the main text we give the long accents of A. In the editions they were reproduced inaccurately as short ones. The differences in the number of accents are a result of oversights and revisions.

b. 285-286

composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt I

..

In the main text we add a cautionary  before e2 in bar 285 and a  before G in bar 286.

b. 285

composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt I

f in A (→GE)

d in FE (→EE)

..

The version of FE (→EE) is most probably a Terzverschreibung error – in the recapitulation A has an almost unchanged accompaniment, with respect to the exposition, in the entire theme (from bar 273); there are also no visible traces of correction in print in FE.

b. 285-289

composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt III

cresc. - - from bar 285 in A & GE2

cresc. in bars 285 & 287 in GE1 (→FEEE)

cresc. - - [ - ] from bar 285 suggested by the editors

cresc. - - [ - ] from bar 287, our alternative suggestion

..

In the main text we give the cresc. written in bar 285 in A and extended by dashes to the end of bar 289 (we suggest to extend the dashes to the end of bar 290 so that they lead to a natural point, which in this case is  in bar 291). The repetition of the indication present in GE1 (→FEEE) in bar 287, unjustified in this context, signalises a possible mistake. An alternative suggestion is based on a less likely assumption that Chopin, while proofreading GE1, wanted to move  to bar 287, but the proofreading was implemented only partially.

b. 285

composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt I

No slur in FE (→GE1GE2)

Slur in EE & GE3

..

The missing slur in FE (→GE1GE2) must be an oversight of the engraver (or of Chopin in [A]) – cf. all 7 similar bars.
