In A a line ends in bar 190. The ending of the slur over the R.H. part clearly suggests that it should be continued; however, there is no ending, neither in the next line, encompassing bars 191-195, nor further, in bar 196. In GE the ending of the slur in bar 190 was considered inaccurate, and the slur was led only to the last quaver, a2. In the main text we give a slur reaching bar 196, added certainly by Chopin to [FC] or while proofreading FE1.

As in bar 7, in the 2nd half of the bar A does not include any accidentals, while the sharps raising all f notes (in various octaves) to f present in GE (→FE,EE,IE) were arbitrarily added during the revision of GE. In the main text we provide the A version, adding only a cautionary  to the first of the discussed notes (f2).

In A the inner note of the last chord in the L.H. is barely visible, therefore, in EE it was omitted.
In GC a four-note chord with d was originally written at this place. This indicates that the copyist mistakenly wrote the chord from bar 195.
