According to us, the slur ending in FE (→EEC) before the last note of the motif is inaccurate, most probably due to a wrong interpretation of the notation of [A]. The range of the short slurs encompassing particular motifs introduced in this autograph could have seemed obvious to Chopin, which probably resulted in hasty, not very careful notation. As in bar 56, we consider the ending of the slur reaching only the 2nd quaver in bar 60 to be an inaccuracy, and in the main text we lead the slur to the minim, as it is in AI. The range of the slur in GE is unclear, since its ending is very thin and hardly noticeable.
