b. 268-281
|
composition: Op. 44, Polonaise in F♯ minor
..
In b. 268-277 and 279-281, in the main text we include the pedal markings of GE, entered probably into [A] after [FC] had been finished. See also b. 271 and 278. category imprint: Differences between sources |

b. 268-273
|
composition: Op. 44, Polonaise in F♯ minor
..
As before, in FE (→EE) the octaves at the beginning of b. 268-271 and on the 2nd beat of b. 272-273 are written in a way that an entire octave is encompassed with the stem of the bottom voice quaver, and it is only the top note that is provided with an additional crotchet stem. It must be a mistake, which is evidenced by the dots prolonging both notes of the octaves in b. 270-273. To the main text we adopt the notation of GE, which is undoubtedly correct. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Inaccuracies in FE |

b. 269
|
composition: Op. 44, Polonaise in F♯ minor
..
In the main text we omit the b note in the chord on the 4th quaver of the bar. Chopin removed it in analogous b. 36 while proofreading FE and almost certainly forgot to do it also here – the reprise of the main section of the Polonaise was not written out in the manuscripts, which proves that Chopin did not foresee any differences between these fragments, particularly so minor. category imprint: Editorial revisions |

b. 269
|
composition: Op. 44, Polonaise in F♯ minor
..
Like in analogous b. 36, the missing dots prolonging the f1-f2 octave must be Chopin's oversight. The dots were added by EE. category imprint: Differences between sources; Editorial revisions issues: EE revisions |

b. 270
|
composition: Op. 44, Polonaise in F♯ minor
..
Like in b. 37, we consider the chord with additional f to be the initial version or a mistake in the interpretation of [A] by the engraver of GE1. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Errors in GE |
