FE2 was printed not long after FE1. In the entire Op. 28, FE2 contains some alterations, mostly corrections of the errors of FE1. Most probably they were also made by J. Fontana although it is not possible to entirely exclude the participation of Chopin, indirect as it may have been. A comprehensive list of changes as well as more information on FE3 (the later reprint of FE2 issued by the publisher Brandus et Cie) – see the description of FE2 in Prelude in C no. 1.
