Slurs in GE and EE are certainly imprecise. This may have resulted from unclear notation of slurs in Fontana’s copies serving as the basis for these editions (where e.g. b. 7 was the last in the first line of the text. In GE the slur begins as late as on the second beat of the bar. This is an inaccuracy, which results most probably from unclear notation of slurs in the Fontana copy serving as the basis for this edition (in FC3 b. 20 is the first bar of the system, it is posssible [KF1] had a similar structure). In the main text we adopt notation of A as it raises no doubts.

It may have resulted from unclear marking of slurs in [FC1] which was the basis for these edtitions (e.g. when b. 27 was the last bar in the last but one line of text). The notation of slurs in A, however, leaves no doubts as for Chopin's intentions.
