b. 562

composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt I

..

The majority of the sources include naturals before the b1 and b2 notes. It is difficult to say what made Chopin write them – the only alteration in the vicinity of those notes is b1(2) in the next figure. The superfluous accidentals were removed in GE3.

b. 563

composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt I

..

In FE (→EE1), this bar is written without cautionary accidentals. In GE, naturals were added before b3 and a3 as well as  before f3; in turn, in EE2 before b3 and a  before f3, while in EE3 also naturals before a3 and the second d1 in the L.H. In the main text, we include all the aforementioned accidentals and we also add a  before the first d1 in the L.H.

b. 564

composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt I

..

In FE (→EE1), there are 4 cautionary accidentals in this bar: naturals before g3b2 and e2 as well as a  before f3. In GE, naturals were added also before c3 and c2, whereas in EE2 (→EE3), only before c3. In the main text, we include the accidentals present in GE except  before b2.

b. 564-565

composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt I

Continuous slur in FE (→EE)

Separate slurs in GE

..

The separation of the slurs over the barline probably results from lack of space – in GE, the slur in bars 565-566 did not fit over the notes and was led at the bottom, which forced a break of the slur.

b. 565

composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt I

..

In FE, there are cautionary naturals before d2 and b2 – both unjustified. In GE, naturals were added before a1 and e3, while in EE1 – before a2. In EE2 (→EE3), the version of EE1 was completed with both naturals added in GE, most probably after a comparison with GE1 or GE2. In the main text, we omit the naturals present in FE; in turn, we include all the remaining ones.
