b. 482-484
|
composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt I
..
In FE, there are no accidentals before the 7th semiquaver in the L.H. in bar 482 and the penultimate semiquaver in the R.H. in bars 483 and 484. Therefore, those notes should be interpreted as f and f1, which would interfere with the regularity of the figuration, undoubtedly intended here by Chopin. The first two oversights were corrected in GE and in EE2 (→EE3), probably on the basis thereof. The mistake in bar 484 remained uncorrected in all editions. category imprint: Interpretations within context; Differences between sources issues: EE revisions , Errors in FE , Omissions to cancel alteration , GE revisions , Errors repeated in GE , Errors repeated in EE |

b. 483

composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt I
..
The raising g1 to g1 (the 9th semiquaver of the bar), overlooked in FE (→GE1→GE2), was added in EE and GE3. It must be a mistake – a is present in the identical context both in the previous and the next bar, while the correct text includes also a before the next note, i.e. g1. category imprint: Interpretations within context; Differences between sources issues: EE revisions , Errors in FE , GE revisions |

In the main text, we add a cautionary before c1. The accidental was added already in GE and EE3. category imprint: Differences between sources; Editorial revisions issues: EE revisions , GE revisions |

b. 486
|
composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt I
..
In the main text, we suggest the slur written by Chopin in analogous bars 1-2. The absence of any kind of slurs in the first 11 bars of the recapitulation is a proof of inadvertence of the engraver (or perhaps of Chopin himself). A similar addition was introduced in EE; however, in that case it was the entire first bar that was encompassed with a slur. category imprint: Differences between sources; Editorial revisions issues: EE revisions |

b. 486

composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt I

In the sources, the solo piano part stops at the end of bar 485, since entire bar 486, the 1st chord included, is written with small notes as belonging to the orchestral part. It must be a mistake, hence we add a natural ending to the figurations of the solo part. category imprint: Editorial revisions issues: Errors in FE |
