b. 408-409

composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt I

No fingering in FE (→GE)

Fontana's fingering in EE

Fingering written into FEH

..

The fingerings of EE and FEH differ at the beginning of the sequence, yet in the further part, one of Fontana's fingerings is most probably compliant with the entry in FEH. It is difficult to say whether and to what an extent one of these fingerings comes from Chopin.

b. 408-409

composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt I

..

In GE3, in all bar 408 and analog. and 412 and analog., the initial pair of semiquavers, in both hands, was arbitrarily provided with staccato dots. In the places where the marks would fall under the slur, the beginning of the slur was moved to over the 3rd semiquaver. We include these dots in the notes on slurs

A repetition of the reminding (?)  before f1 may seem to be superfluous, cf. the version of GE3; however, in the main text, we preserve this mark due to the note featured in the chords in the L.H. Moreover, if we take into account the entry in FEH, i.e.  a  before the 1st grace note in the bar, the discussed  takes on different meaning, becoming a mark restoring f1.

In FE, there are no accidentals before the top note of the fifth and last fourth. In EE, a  was added before the first of them (g2), whereas in GE, it was added before both (g2 and b2). According to us, it is only the first addition that is justified.
