In the majority of sources there is no raising f3 to f sharp3. The sharp was added only in GE2. For writing that note Chopin used 4 ledger lines (one too many). He corrected his mistake by deleting the lowest ledger line. Interestingly, it seems that the engraver of GE did not notice the correction, as that edition has got visible traces of moving the note head down by a third. category imprint: Differences between sources; Corrections & alterations issues: Accidentals in different octaves , Terzverschreibung error , GE revisions , Errors in the number of ledger lines |

A has no accidentals before the 4th, 11th and 16th note of the 2nd half of the bar, which results in c3 and twice c flat4. GE has an added before the last one of those notes. In the proofing of FE (→EE), and also in GE2 a was added before c3 and a moved and placed before the preceding c flat4. According to the rules of chromatic spelling, all those notations result in the same text. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: GE revisions , Cautionary accidentals , Authentic corrections of FE |
