The notation of the 1st note is not quite clear in A, as Chopin gave a single extending dot for two notes of the same pitch. However, the rhythmic values used in the second part of the bar make it easy for us to guess the composer's intention. The notation of the editions is even less clear, omitting the crotchet head (for the lower voice) that can be seen in A.
