Slurs in A

No slurs in GE (→FEEE)

..

The slurs visible in A over two-quaver motifs were omitted in GE (→FEEE), probably due to the engraver's inattention. Cf bars 66-67.

The notation of A

GE (→FEEE)

..

The notation of the 1st note is not quite clear in A, as Chopin gave a single extending dot for two notes of the same pitch. However, the rhythmic values used in the second part of the bar make it easy for us to guess the composer's intention. The notation of the editions is even less clear, omitting the crotchet head (for the lower voice) that can be seen in A. Still, even in that version it is easy to figure out how to perform that fragment correctly.

A long accent in A

A short accent in GE (→FEEE)

..

The accent in A should be considered a long one, as it is clearly bigger than the short accents from previous bars. In GE (→FEEE) that difference was not made visible.

in A

..

A horizontal line that can be seen in A after the indication dim. is certainly meant to suggest the extent of that dynamic marking; we give dashes that are usually used for the purpose. In GE (→FEEE) that marking was omitted.

A slur in A

..

The slur in A clearly refers to the semiquaver motif; nonetheless, it begins from the crotchet  a flat2 at the beginning of the bar in GE (→FEEE).
