The slur in A, although quite precisely drawn, was written before the 3rd quaver of that bar was changed. In the graphic layout that resulted from that change, the interpretation of the slur as in GE (→FE→EE) also seems acceptable. Reviewing GE and FE Chopin could have accepted that longer slur as well.
