Slur in FE (→GE)

Double slur in EE

..

The second slur of EE is an example of a quite frequent revision of that edition, which willingly added slurs, sometimes by analogy with authentic ones, sometimes totally arbitrarily. Similar additions – cf. e.g. the ending of the  Nocturne in D Major, Op. 27 No. 2 or the Concerto in F Minor, Op. 21, 3rd mov., bars 325-334

c2 in FE (→GE1,EE)

b1 in GE2

..

c2 as the last semiquaver in FE (→GE1,EE) is most probably a mistake – cf. analogous bar 251. It is confirmed by the Chopinesque correction performed in pencil in FEJ. In turn, the reviser of GE2 removed the harmonic inconsistency with the L.H. part, yet he did not take into account the melodic structure of the figuration.

Staccato dots in FE (→GE)

..

The missing 3 staccato dots for the bass E in bars 108-110 in EE are probably an oversight of the engraver.

composition: Op. 16, Rondo in E♭ major

In EE1, there is no ending of the slur on a new line. The mistake was corrected already by the reviser of EE2.
