b. 126

composition: Op. 16, Rondo in E♭ major

No mark in GE

..

The missing staccato dot for the 1st note in the R.H. is most probably an oversight of the engraver of GE.

2 slurs in FE (→GE,EE)

Slur suggested by the editors

..

The notation of the sources is unnecessarily complicated – cf. the practically equivalent notation in bars 128-129. According to us, it may be a result of an inaccurately reproduced or simplified correction – for example, the slur in bar 127 could have been added in [A] as an extension of the previous one, which, however, was misinterpreted in FE, or could have been added in the proofreading of FE as a simplified correction of a too short slur in bar 126.

b. 127-128

composition: Op. 16, Rondo in E♭ major

No slur in FE (→GE,EE)

Slur suggested by the editors

..

A comparison with similar motifs in bars 125-126 and 129-130 suggests that the missing slur is probably an inaccuracy of notation.

composition: Op. 16, Rondo in E♭ major

Long accent in FE (→GE)

Short accent in EE

..

A short accent in EE is a typical inaccuracy related to the dichotomous interpretation of long accents as accents (short) or diminuendoes.
