b. 162-166

composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt III

R.H. dots in A

No mark in GE1 (→FEEE)

Dots in bar 166 in GE2

..

No staccato dots over the first quavers in bars 162 and 166 is certainly an oversight of the engraver of GE1 (→FEEE). The mistake was partially corrected in GE2, by adding a dot in bar 162 (also in the L.H.).

b. 199-201

composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt III

Staccato dots in A & GE2

No marks in GE1 (→FEEE)

..

The missing staccato dots at the beginning of bar 197 (in both hands) and 199 can be almost certainly attributed to the inaccuracy of the engraver of GE1 (→FEEE). The signs were added in GE2 after A.

b. 200-201

composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt III

Staccato dots in A

No marks in GE (→FEEE)

..

The staccato dots at the beginning of the bars, in A written between the notes, were ignored both by the engraver of GE1 (→FEEE) and the reviser of GE2. The signs are very small, since Chopin apparently did not want them to be confused with note heads.

composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt III

Long accent in A, contextual interpretation

 in GE (→FEEE)

..

The  sign under the 1st triplet in the R.H. is to be interpreted as a long accent, according to us. In the editions it was extended to the middle of the last triplet, which suggests performing the first part of this sequence diminuendo, certainly contrary to Chopin's intention.

In A one can see a deletion of the long accent over the part of the R.H. in this place. Similarly, in bar 207.
