In A there is no  before the bottom note of the octave. The patent inaccuracy was corrected in GE (→FEEE).

The sign of pedal release, written in A (→GE1) contrary to the rules of harmonic pedalling, generally used by Chopin, may be inaccurate. Therefore, in the main text we give the sign on the basis of FE.
The harmonic accompaniment written in FES certainly requires a different pedalling than the one marked in the remaining sources. In particular, in this place the entry suggests releasing the pedal at the end of the previous bar (and probably pressing the pedal at the beginning of the discussed bar).

GE (→FEEE) overlooked the dashes determining the range of diminuendo, which was rather a rule than an exception in the Concerto. The doubt about the placement of the rallentando indication, caused by a deletion in A, is of greater importance – it does begin after the 3rd beat of the bar, but also before the last beat. In the editions the first relation was included, yet in the main text we consider the second to be closer to Chopin's intention.

Supplement suggested by the editors

..

No pedalling on the 4th beat of the bar is most probably a result of Chopin's distraction – the notation of pedalling stops in A on the  sign in the middle of the bar, perhaps due to lack of ink; after returning to writing, the composer could have been occupied with another issue. In a very similar context in bar 20, the pedalling – pedal on each beat of the bar – is written in the entire bar. The addition of  in GE1 (→FEEE) is probably a routine revision – it is hard to imagine that, when adding pedalling, Chopin would have overlooked the accented chord on the 4th beat of the bar. When removing the sign, the reviser of GE2 could have considered that it would be better to leave a general  indication on the 3rd beat rather than to suggest no pedalling on the 4th one.
