The inaccurate, too long slur of GE1 was misinterpreted in FE as clearly reaching the c2 quaver. The mistake was not repeated either in EE or in GE2. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: EE revisions , Inaccuracies in GE , GE revisions |

At the beginning of the bar A (→GE→FE→EE) does not have the 8 digit, marking the bottom note of the octave, E1. Since at the first appearance of this phrase in bar 14 Chopin added it in A, it is highly likely that the addition could be applied also here: omitting one (or more) of repeating places at the time of proofreading would often happen to Chopin in various works. It is worth remembering that, writing the Concerto in Warsaw, Chopin did not have the E1 sound at his disposal, since the scale of his piano reached to F1 only. Cf. bar 82 and 89.

According to us, the use of the semiquaver beam in the editions is a result of inaccuracy of the engraver of GE1. In A similar groups are written as quavers in all three analogous bars (bars 14, 33 and 82) and it does not seem that Chopin would have preferred to change this notation. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: GE revisions |

Both versions of the slur, appearing in the editions, are almost certainly inauthentic. The version of GE1 (→FE) is most probably simply inaccurate, similarly the version of EE. In turn, in GE2 it is probably an attempt to reinterpret the notation of A while taking into account the Chopin notation of analogous bars 14 and 82. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Inaccuracies in GE , GE revisions , EE inaccuracies |

Although the beginning of the slur in A from the 2nd quaver remains beyond any doubt, in GE1 (→FE→EE) it was erroneously reproduced as a whole-bar slur. The notation compatible with A was restored in GE2. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Inaccuracies in GE , GE revisions |
