A next impression, corrected in detail by Chopin. The changes include:
- additions of slurs, e.g., in bars 1-2, 4-5, 40, 104, 110, 129-132;
- additions of dynamic indications, e.g., in bars 34-36, 85 and 89-90 and 213, as well as 101, 121-123 and 129-131;
- change of bass notes from c to e in bar 59 and 63;
- moving the bass note one octave lower in bar 61;
- added fingering in bar 91;
- correction of accents in bars 93-96, as well as an addition of an accent in bar 117;
- removal of f from the chord in bar 199.
Moreover, a number of previously unnoticed mistakes was corrected, e.g., in bar 28, 51, 56, 57, 92, 128, 141, 155, 199, 217, as well as a few overlooked accidentals, e.g., in bar 23.
However, some of the changes introduced in FE3 raise doubts concerning their authenticity, e.g.:
One can assume here certain misunderstandings at the time of the proofreading's implementation or its incomplete performance (cf. the 2nd mov., bar 95 and the 3rd mov., bar 20 and 30).
The copy presented in mUltimate Chopin is devoid of the first chart, including the title page and an empty page (second). FES is an example of a complete copy.
