b. 28

composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt I

..

In FE1 (→FE2) the top note of the last chord in the R.H. is a b1. It is certainly a mistake, corrected, perhaps by Chopin, in the proofreading of FE3 and base text to EE. The remaining sources also include the correct c2.

b. 29

composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt I

..

In all sources, a cautionary  next to the g (L.H.) was added. We omit this superfluous accidental in the main text.

b. 32

composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt I

d2-f2-b2 in EE

..

The version of EE is most probably a mistake of the engraver, a so-called Terzverschreibung. FE, on which EE is based, features the correct chord: b1-d2-b2.

Accent suggested by the editors

..

The missing accent on the 2nd quaver must be considered an inaccuracy of notation (most probably Chopin's inadvertence in [A]). The accent is present in identical b. 35 as well as in a rhythmically analogous situation in each of the remaining bars of the section encompassing b. 25-36.

composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt I

No indication in GC (→GE) & FE1 (→FE2EE)

cresc. - - in FE3 (→FE4)

..

The cresc. - - indication is certainly a result of Chopin proofreading of FE3 (→FE4).
