Pedalling

b. 52

composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt I

 on G in GC (→GE) & FE

 on A in EE

..

The  sign was placed in FE so inaccurately (before the G note) that EE misplaced it at the beginning of the bar.

b. 93-96

composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt I

No markings in GC (→GE) & FE (→EE)

Pedalling suggested by the editors

..

It is hard to assume whether Chopin forgot to finish marking the pedalling here or whether he only generally indicated the need to use pedal in this fragment. Due to the fact that the indications are more accurate for the second time (bars 221-224), in the main text we signalise them already here.

b. 101-104

composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt I

..

The pedalling of the last two chords of the exposition is marked in the sources inaccurately or erroneously. In FE there is no  sign in bar 101. In GC (→GE1) the change of pedal is written only at the transition between bars 103 and 104. FE and GE1 do not include any  sign in bar 104, whereas in GC and EE the asterisk is at the end of the 2nd volta, while in GE2 at the end of the first one.

b. 111

composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt I

..

GE1 overlooked the  asterisk. The sign was added in GE2, the remaining sources also include it.

Pedalling in GC & GE2

Pedalling in FE (→EE)

Pedaling in GE1

..

In GC the sign is placed in the middle of the first half of the bar, so that it seems to refer to the e1 quaver. Such a placement is most probably inaccurate, and in GE1 the sign was shifted farther left, which is plainly wrong. GE2 restored the GC version. In the main text, we give the undoubtedly correct version of FE (→EE).
