b. 232-234

composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt I

No indication in GC (→GE)

in bar 232 in FE

in bars 232-234 in EE

..

The version of FE is most probably accidental – the engraver forgot about the dashes in the new line of the text. The addition in EE may come from Chopin, although it cannot be excluded that according to Chopin, the crescendo was supposed to be led until  in bar 239.

b. 232-234

composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt I

..

Before the top note of the last octave in bar 232 and the 2nd one in bar 234, there are no accidentals in GC and the earlier FE. The necessary signs –  of f and  of b – were added in EE, GE and FE4.

b. 232

composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt I

..

In all sources, there is a repeated  (cautionary?) next to the fnote on the second beat. In the main text we omit this superfluous accidental.

We add cautionary naturals to f1-f2 in the main text.

Accent in GC, FE (→EE) & GE2

No mark in GE1

..

The absence of the accent in GE1 is certainly an engraver's mistake – missing are also a L.H. slur and the pedalling. The error was corrected in GE2.
